The author describes his return to carp fishing after a break of 45 years. Describing the experience as “like stepping out of a time machine” the author first had to grapple with the language being used to describe current techniques. Making a new life in France and Isolated from the influence of other carp fisherman, he used the resources of the internet to start his unique campaign of learning how to catch carp and trying not to break the bank at the same time.This is his story.
